My attempt at Ableton djing (download)

I was fooling around and recorded some Ableton mixing (about 1/2 hours worth)

no controller - so it's very very (um hacky) and I just threw it together so it's nothing special

but it'll give you an idea of the kind of music I'm into - none of the tracks are mine

but you can download the mp3 if you want

it's my goal to get good at this with a nice controller

check it - like one of my first attempts

Maybe it's because it's a big file - oooppps

it's a little to big to fit on myspace

oh well

if anyone has some kind of web hosting that'd be cool - it's not a big deal

just a couple songs put together with Ableton

yeah, why don't you upload it to http://www.rapidshare.de/, they don't require membership for people to grab it.

OK, try this http://rapidshare.com/files/3611459/funkymix.zip.html

or

http://djadonis206.sitesled.com/funkymix.zip

It's nothing close to good - just a selection of tracks and experimentation with djing with Ableton

I am going to get good at it though

Listening to this now, smoove mix, I don't think you could improve on the mixing itself other than maybe getting into heavy FX and whatnots.

Damn, and you're still a n00b too.

You should mix yer own stuff man, start pimping that shit out to all the kids.

Can you dig it?
I knew that you could.

Hey thanks for listening to it DKF

I have done mixes with all my own stuff - had it up for a minute

What I'm trying to learn to do is:

loop on the fly

duplicate clips and set the start markers (anyone have a key command for this) and fire clips from different points in a track

use more effects

and mix in my own stuff, under, over and beyond other peoples music

granted I tried this last night with a mouse

and if you really pay attention you can tell when South Park came on - towards the end - it's not so busy

but I appreciate you listening - I'm downloading some more music this weekend and getting a controller so I'll upload something better and more thoughtout this weekend

peace

it's a bit on the slow side for uploading, but I use megaupload for my monthly promo mixes.
