Shorten/Lengthen Brackets No Longer Visible in 3.0

Now that I'm in 3.0 I'm having trouble getting the "brackets" to show up to widen/shorten any clip/loop/track size. All that shows up is the black and white "4-slices of pie" circle. It DOES still work when I position the circle (cursor) and move it, but it's not nearly as accurate or desirable as the brackets used to be before I upgraded to 3.0
Thank you for any help with this, and THANK YOU for a phenomenal product. So far, the new plug-ins and features in 3.0 more than make up for this annoyance.
Cheers,
Jason
ps. perhaps the problem's my not-so-speedy machine? I'm running a G4 450, with 800 or so megs of RAM....thanks!

Hi Supadisco,
let us clarify this: when you mouse over a clip edge, or loop marker, the mouse cursor should turn into a bracket that indicates the kind of action you get when dragging from there. You are saying the cursor does not change, or it turns into the Mac OS 'wait' cursor. Question: if you let go of the mouse, does the bracket cursor appear eventually, when the wait cursor is gone? Thanks.

Hello Gerhard,
Yes, when the cursor goes over the clip loop marker it becomes the spinning Mac OS circle (has 2 black and 2 white triangles within this circle). The same thing happens in the Arrange view when attempting to increase the track height.
This problem happens probably 80-90% of the time, but not 100% of the time. And it happens when I have few or many tracks, effects, clips, etc. going, so that's apparently not affecting it.
Thank you so much for your reply,
Cheers,
Supadisco
Me too

I am having the same graphical glitch.
A "sliced pie" instead of a bracket shaped cursor.
Odd.
I'm using OSX.
Has anyone figured thos out yet??
