hey guys,
I was reading a similiar post earlier about problems setting up send and returns.
this is my dilemma.
I have one track going to master 1/2, and a click track going to master 1/2.
how do i divert the click, to only be hear in the headphones(mbox2), and not the 1/2 master?
I made it a send and the return track still makes it go to the output 1/2. I have no other outputs to choose from..
help!

is there a way to only have a track(click track)not go to the master outs, but only in headphones? Btw, I only have 2 outs, 1/2 stereo mbox.

Are the headphones & master outputs on the Mbox independently addressable?
If they are then check live preferences under the Audio tab/Outputs, you can configure the number of outputs available to live & that would allow you to choose from different outs on tracks , sends or master.

not sure..

I think the headphones are on the same 1/2 outs.
does this mean i have to get a m audio firewire 410 w/multiple outs?
Is everyone using those live?
On the audio preferences, I only have 1/2 as options for stereo.
:(

The MBox's headphone out is a mirror to the main output (and that's one of the things that make me hate it)

Are you on a Mac or a PC? There are ways to use multiple soundcards/interfaces at the same time (Aggregate Devices in Mac and asio4all in PC)

mbox problems.

Go to Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI setup

In the Audio Menu go to "Open Aggregate Device Editor" or hit cmd + shift = A

In the window that opens, add an aggregate device and rename it to what you want ("Mbox / Built in" for example)

All your audio devices should appear below (Mbox and Built in audio in this case). Click on both "Use" checkboxes to group them in that aggregate device.

Now, in Live's preferences you should be able to select the new aggregate device as I/O. That way 1/2 will be your Mbox output and 3/4 will be your Mac's built in soundcard.

ok..almost there..please help

I added it as the aggregate device, i see it in the setup, what i don't understand is:
-is my new aggregate device, system and default output?
-I want my mbox to be the main 1/2 out, so in LIVE pref.. am i choosing the mbox?
because if it's chosen, it still only gives me 1/2 as options.
If I choose the new aggregate device, i see the i/o's, but how do i route the main 1/2 mbox tracks out of the mbox, and the one other track to the new aggregate?
Not quite sure, what the routing now is w/the aggregate..
can you help?
