Snapshot function on UC33e what does it do ?

I've just got a UC33e nice bit of kit, but i cannot work out how to use the snapshot function. I've read the crappy manual and can get the little snapshot icon on the uc33 screen by press +/- togther but it does'nt seem to do anything.

I'm using hoffman2k's excellent covert seq ,i have one on each of 4 tracks and i have all the knobs mapped to my uc33 on the first 4 presets. Basically I would like to be able to reset the 16 steps on any of the tracks by pressing one button on my controller. Can the snapshot function do this ? if not what is it for ?

any help much appreciated

cheers

bump, anyone ?

the manual says snapshot can be used 'creatively'
it's probably something really easy but i must be too thick to work it out :?

thanks in advance

the 'snapshot' function instantly sends ALL midi CC numbers from uc33e.

as for 'creative use': you can use 'snapshot' with 'mute' function on your controler, to change more than parameters at once. here's how it goes:

1. mute your controller by pressing 'program' + 'bank lsb'
this will stop uc33e from sending any signals.
2. adjust any value(s) you want to change by moving faders or turning knobs.
3. unmute your controller by pressing 'program' + 'bank lsb'
4. hit 'snapshot' ('-' and '+') to send all changed parameters...

hope I didn't confuse you ;)

Thanks to Jordanm! Very helpful! But is this the only way to use 'snapshot'? Any other possible ways to use it creatively?
