submix delay problem with upgrade from 4.1 to 6.0.1

I do a decent amount of recording live drums and always create a submix track. So four channels of drum recording route to a drum submix channel. then compress/reverb/easy mixing/etc.

so i just upgraded from 4.1 to 6.0.1
now my submix stuff is out of sync. it has a delay on it.

in 4.1 i can remove a track from the submix(route directly to master) and it still is in sync with the rest of the submix.

in live 6.0.1 it is not in sync with the submix.

so far, i haven't been able to figure out any way to change the buffers to get rid of this. anybody have any idea about this?

thanks.

I'm experiencing the same thing, the latest beta doesnt help it either (6.0.2b4).

edit: I cant recreate the problem on a new track started in live 6, only old tracks (started in live 5 then packaged into archives in live, then unpacked back into projects in live6)

okay i think i got it.

in the options menu, select "delay compensation" and it seems to fix it. so far at least.

but now there is a new problem.

in all my submix tracks, i frequently use a dummy audio clip to draw volume and other envelopes. this way the track volume is global and i can do looped chopping of sections with a clip. a lot easier for editing and mixing.

the problem now is because of the time delay issue, the envelopes on the mix channels don't visually line up with the beats on the actual channels.

this wasn't an issue in live 4.1
i did this all the time but now it doesn't work and i can't seem to find my way out of this one...
i know there is this new feature of being able to set individual delays on every channel but i'd really rather not do that. it seems too subjective.

what has changed inside the live engine that makes this an issue now? it's quite frustrating.

any thoughts?
