Live 6 setup with Kontrol 49

Hey guys, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't get the midi learn functioning for the Kontrol 49. I can play notes though and the pitch bend wheel works.
Also, I've got a bcr2000 and bcf2000. I've been making beats recently (well, the past year!), but also want to start djing with live 6 also.
Could people give me some tips on the best setup, or am I better off flogging them and getting another controller
