Hi,
This has been discussed for a thousend times probably...

I am looking for a new notebook solely for running Live 6 with some vst's, loads of samples and sending midi to my Access Virus TI and Korg Triton.

I always thought that I needed a 7200 rpm drive, but it's very hard to find a decent notebook that has 7200 rpm drive standard.

Will a 5400 rpm drive work flawless. I'd go for a Intel dual Core processor and 1 to 2 gig internal memory.

Just buy a good laptop and an external 7200rpm drive...i just bought a 320 Gigas lacie and it is just fine (pretty cheap today)
when you have got multi tracks playing you do not want disk reading overload...especially in a live situation.
