Ableton Forum

I've been having problems with Live versions 5.2.2 and 6.0.1
Live suddenly shuts down after a few minutes when I trigger midi notes with my FCB1010 footswitch.
I don't have any problems in the previous version 5.2.1, everything runs smoothly.

Here's my set-up:
Macbook Pro
1.83 GHZ Intel duo core
2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
M-audio audiophile firewire soundcard
M-audio Trigger Finger

Please help me out, I have some important shows coming up and I really want to start using Live 6.0.1 because it's a monster, but I just can't trust it.

HEEELLPP!!

The problem seems to be related to midi, while I'm halfway through a track I hear 3 audible clicks and the application quits.

I use the trigger finger and a FCB1010.
This problem occurs in 5.2.2 and 6.0.1 only 5.2.1 is fine.

I have the FCB1010 Revision 2.4.1c and Ableton Live 6.0.1. I was getting crashes when using PC commands especially... I saw and others on the net complaining about ableton interpreting every command as a pitchbend command. Hmmm.

To work around this stuff here is what I did.

I setup bank 0/10 to only play distinct notes. Note that it seems that bank 0/10 can only be programmed for only one function otherwise multiple midi messages will be sent. (Anyone know why this is?) For banks 1-9 this does not seem to be the case. For these banks I use notes and CC's for the expression pedals. I do not use PC's, CC's, relays, etc. I have had mixed (mostly bad) results with those. Doing things this way I have had no crashes so far.
