im testing the microphone but its sounds nearly 1/2 a second later

i can hear myself but the singing is out of sync with the tracking track.

i can understand that this is due partly to latency (although i did set it down to about 44 still, with no luck)

but what i dont understand is

i have used cubase 5 with reason2.5 and i dont have this problem
i have used acid 4 (which i call a kids toy) and again dont have this problem

ok you may be saying why not use them then

running reason 2.5 and cubase 5 eats memory during long heavy productions and can cause you to reboot the machine (not good if someones singing on the MIC at that that

using acid 4, dont have rewire or the live ability to process the vocals during record live mode

change the soundcard I guess or reduce latency

yeah, it's kind of a waste these days to use a sound blaster with software like live - especially when you can get something like m-audio audiophile for about £130 UK (whats that $200 US?) bargain.

i THOUGHT acid has rewire, mine does but I only use live anyway.
