Hi I am having problems with the MIDI Sync functions within Ableton Live 6 and my Pioneer DJM 800 mixer. The mixers MIDI Out is routed through an M-Audio USB Midisport 2x2 in to my Apple Powerbook G4. The drivers for the Midisport are working fine. I have gone in to the preferences and made sure that Ableton is set to sync from the Midisport signal. The small box (the top one of the two) next to the EXT button flashes green and is showing that Ableton is taking the timing from the DJM800. However when I click the EXT button the tempo is then sync'd on Ableton to the tempo from the DJM800 but I am unable to play any clips. When I do click play, the clips and the play button in the transport bar flash as though they are about to start but they don't actually play whenever the EXT button is pressed.

Is there a way I can solve this problem with the Midi Sync?

Is there no solution to this? Does it mean as soon as you use the DJM800 in conjunction with Ableton that you loose all control over your clips and can merely play it all as it is?
