How do I get started in Live 6 Lite?

I download the Live 6 Lite as per email offer from Ableton.

I am giving this programme another try/chance.

I've installed it watching a plethera of files being installed into my documentation folder ( I hope that's were it's supposed to go ). Then it was "unlocked" thru cyberspace.

Are there any example files included within the download/installation process that I can open to get a taste of this programme ?

Now I've spent about an hour reading the on line manual/pdf but can't figure out how to get started.

How do I get started please?

I found the best way to get started was to play around with the existing Clips (found in the browser on the left side of the page, the 1 or 2 icon I think). Drag them into the arrangement and maybe layer a few.

What do you want to use Live for exactly?

TVM

It's too bad that in the download they don't include a few sample "projects" that could be opened/loaded so that the try before you buy user could just hit play a watch/enjoy what is going on.

So far I am not too impressed.

I've spent time/money printing out the pdf, spent about 2 hours reading, tried drag/drop the clips but when I hit play NOTHING.

Perhaps I'm not geeky enough to make this programme work but I'm bound and determined to figure out this odd looking programme.

Have you tried downloading the demo songs live pack?

HERE

Don't bother with the manual, it's more of a reference, I think. Go with the lessons.

Now that's the kind of help they should provide with the download.

My friend you are a better sales promoter of LIVE then the guys that sent me the email invitation to download their programme.

Good on you mate.

I got an email offer from the A... team.

It's a sales gimmick 2Buy the for real version.

Maybe I mite although it is a bit of quirky programme for me. I like the traditional midi/audio sequencers.

I here you however I'm that stubborn that no programme is going to beat me. It's just a new concept I have to work thru my mind.
