Hey Y'all.... just recorded a whole set and was continuing on recording the next guy's set, and someone pulled the plug (i have an iMac). I see a 1.96 gig file that must be it, but no program, including live, can read it. Any tips? Thanks in advance! -Alex

So after much research about what .aif files are made of (chunks, headers, etc.), I was going to try to paste in some code from parts of healthy .aif files. However, my buddy pointed me to a free 2-track editing program called Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net, open source, mac and intel mac, windows, linux). There's the option to import raw data, and you have to enter in bit rate, length, etc., but after 1 wrong guess and a few minutes of chugging through 2 gigs of raw data, I ended up with my lost show! Just thought I'd share this resolution... I've learned my lesson to buy a UPS now that I'm using an iMac to gig instead of a powerbook.
