I sometimes use scenes with names like 126bpm to change tempo, which works great but...

if i need to change tempo somewhere in the middle of a song and don't have time to press the scene launch button (let's say during a sax solo with me playing the sax) the follow actions don't trigger the scene the same way.

the tempo stays the same even if scene name implies a different tempo.

workarounds?

Are you sure you're writing the follow actions into the clip launch window of the master clip where you typed in the new tempo? (I didn't know follow-tempo now works for master track clips - that's cool, if it does)

uhm, nope. just in every track. i don't think you can do follow actions for scenes.

you could do follow actions on a control dummy clip MIDI track...

or record all this to the arrangement and automate the tempo there.

I use MIDI-mapped chords in dummy clips to launch follow-actioned multiple scenes and other dummy clips simultaneously. Works great!

The only hard part is keeping everything organized! (Excel to the rescue...)
