Remote 25 and Live Problem!

hello all,
here's today's problem: whenever I start a scene using a button on the Remote 25, and then use the template up/down keys to switch templates on the Remote, it retriggers the first scene I played. My buttons are set to 'momentary' mode. I can't understand why it seems the computer is receiving the MIDI message for the scene from the 'template up/down' buttons. possibly we're in glitch city?
