record on track is not active

I recently upgraded to Live Lite 6, and the record feature above works , but on the individual tracks the record button doe not light up red, it stays grey

have you selected the soundcard inputs in the I/O section?
Not sure what you mean by "the record feature above works"
Yes < thanks-- the Preference menu was not engaged right

I should have checked the audio/midi/ setup in the preferences menu b4 asking for help. All is well.
