missing audio interfaces bug 1.5b3 macos x
Posted: Sun Apr 21, 2002 10:37 pm
if the default audio device is not present when live starts up, 1.5b3 crashes before fully starting up.
specifically, mac os x 10.1.3, emagic emi 2-6 was previously used as the audio out and is then disconnected before starting up, when live 1.5b3 loads up it gives the beta expiration dialog, then crashes. previous versions would say audio was disabled, then when you went to the preferences menu to choose sound manager it would crash, but the next time you loaded live it would let you change the setting. now it just crashes unless the emi is there.
i have also had similar problems with the mac os 9 version in the past, but i haven't tried the latest beta yet.
