Live 6 Repeatedly Crashing on Macbook

I have a Macbook 2Ghz (Core Duo) 2mb RAM.
When I first upgraded to Live 6, I was very happy with the performance increase, and the new features.
However, recently I've been experiencing repeated crashes on one of my live sets that I've moved over from Live 5.2, even though the CPU is not showing anything close to 100% (it's only at like 45%), although it does have about 18 tracks on it.
Today I was working on another set with only 4 tracks (with minimal effects) and this crashed twice as well after adding Compression I to one of the drum tracks. (When I turned off the compression, the set didn't crash.)
Is it possible the Compression effect is causing the problem? (I believe I added quite a few of them to the older track (as well as Sampler instances) before it became unstable.
Is anyone else having this problem? It's very frustrating! Especially considering the CPU doesn't seem to be taking a big hit.
