Berkleemusic offers a Ableton Live course.

Does somebody knows about the value of this course or of Berleesmusic scool in general?

I've wondered about this too, but don't know if the course is worth it or not. Seems really pricey to me, especially since it's an online course.

one thing i do know about berkley...
unless you are a homosexual male, there ain't enough women
in the school to make it a "real" college experience....

I am wondering also. Kinda expensive ... $960.00. I'm thinking of trying it out also. Has anyone taken this course?

If you feel you need to get deeper into Ableton, just buy one of the numerous books available such as Live Power (or something like that). I am sure a book like that would cover most if not all bases and save you a load of money to boot.

well since there are a dozen or more other schools in the area, that's not a problem. the acceptance ratios have also become more balanced in the past year.

who teaches the online course?

Hey there.

I did the berklee music online course in summer 2005, and it was expensive but i really enjoyed it. I was impressed with the tuition quality, it was a good way to buy live at student prices (berklee & ableton offered special rates for both live and operator), and all in all i thought it was worth the cash.

The course lasts 10 or 12 weeks, can't remember which, there are assignments and project work each week, with tutorial groups etc, and what i liked most was how the course kept me working & getting deeper into live, having to complete stuff each week.

So yes, i'd highly recommend the berklee course.

Well, since BERKLEE is a music college in Boston, MA, named for the co-founder's son Lee Berk...I'd say it's a moot point.
(It's also my alma-matter)

As for the area, Boston has over sixty colleges and tech schools in its city, so plenty of options for all walks of life, both socially and scholastically.

I have no idea about their online courses however...I'm old and went there in the mid-nineties!
