Party People,

I'm flying to Reykjavik on December 28th to visit a friend who does a show there on The New Foreigners radio station. He would like me to bring as much new music as possible for his show.

This is how he describes what kind of music he plays:

"I listen to a lot of traditional style music and crossovers examples Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Talvin Singh, Gotan Project, Musafir, Tabla Beat Science, Ba Cissoko, Talib Kweli, i have an endless list of obscure stuff that not a lot of people i know have ever heard of ... Amsterdam Klezmer Band, Shirin Neshat (Iran visual artist) and just generally bent drum n bass, techno and rap from Russia, Japan, Romania, Irsrael etc etc - the list is endless"

So, if you have recordings that in any way fit into his tastes - you should get that CD in my hands!

If you live in the NYC area you can bring the CD to me in person if you like, to save money & not waste paper & postage etc. This Saturday, December 16th, I will be at the Ad Hoc Art Gallery http://adhocart.org/ from 7PM - to 11PM. Just stop by and hand me the CD. It's free, there will be live music & good art & cheap booze. Take the L to the Morgan stop and walk to 49 Bogart Street. I'll be the dude with red hair and drink in my hand :P

If you would like to send it to me, make sure it'll arrive before December 27th. Also, very important, do not send it through UPS or FedEx. I can only recieve packages through the US Postal Service. Send it to:

Update:

A Hanukkah party popped up that I must attend. It's likely that I won't arrive at the closing party until 10PM. If you are planning to drop off a CD at the party, please continue to do so! The curator of the show, Jennifer Harris, will be there the whole time and she will gladly accept your CD for me. One of the artists in the show, Laura Yun, is also in on it and she'll hold your CD too and hand it off to me later.

Cheers!
Sam
