Crash + Empty Folders on Live 6 = WTF?!?!

I am running ableton 6 on a G4 powerbook using OSX with 1 GB of ram. I am using a MBox 2 as my audio interface. When installed the live 6 upgrade, everything became super slow. To create a set or open a set, the computer began thinking forever and sometimes crashed. I went on the ableton forum and it said to delete the preferences.cfg file. i did that and now all folders (all instruments, midi and audio effects) are empty. i tried to download the beta 6.0.2, but once it downloads, there's no folder to drag onto my hard disk...please help
