MUSIC NOT PLAYING - HELP!!! :)

I have recently been experiencing problems with LIVE 4.1.3 (OS X)

I have a motu 828 mkII sound card with two mackie studio monitors with the motu connected via firewire to my POWER MAC G4 (867 mhz w/ 1.2 gb of RAM and 10gb available on the hard drive).

Anywho, I have never expereinced this problem before, but just now.

Here is the problem:

Music in iTunes, for example, works fine coming out my studio monitors via my soundcard and music plays fine when I'm online listening/buying music on Beatport.com, etc., but when I open a LIVE file (with no other programs running) and I play the song, I don't get any audio. All I get is this faint high pitched sound that sputters a bit....basically nothing. Also, I can't play any music files in Quicktime either. That's on my computer or if I listen to a clip of music online that's an encoded mp3 that plays thru Quicktime. For example: I can't listen to music clips how they are at:
http://www.vinylholic.com/music.html (when I click on the speaker icons, Quicktime opens up in the browser, but when it plays, I here that high pitched sound.)

Again, I just started experiencing this now. :(

Also, I did an installation of a program called: DigiDelivery
At http://digidesign.com/digidelivery/clients
It's an FTP client. Since it's made by Digi Design which makes Pro Tools, I thought there might be something effecting my LIVE application?? So, I deleted all digidesign and digidelivery files from my computer.

Can you help?
