hello :)

im looking at making audio mixing part of my shows (im a vj, as my name implys  ) and ive seen that Ableton Lite is available with a few of the soundcards ive been looking at, so heres some probably simple questions for you... (some are more stupid than others...lol)

my questions relate to the "Live Lite 4 BEHRINGER Edition" bundled with the FCA202, just in case it makes any difference.

1) can i assign tracks/channels to specific outputs so that for instance track 1 is always output 1 on the soundcard?

2)the gabble ive seen about this version of Ableton Lite says i can record audio, im assuming i can load it in too - ie mp3 tunes (yes, thats a stupid question, but it doesnt say!)

3)can i add plug in fx/synths (not essential, just wondering)

thankyou for putting up with my silly questions :D

I'm no expert on the lite editions, so i stand to be corrected on this... but here's my answers anyway.

1.) You can assign any channel to any output you like, as far as i know it's available in the lite versions too.

2.) Yes, of course you can load audio into the session or arrangement view, but as far as i can remember, Mp3 support was only made available in Version 5... so if you're using Lite 4, you'll have to make sure you're stuff is .Wav or .Aiff

3.) I think VST & plug-in support is limited in the lite editions... but as mentioned earlier, i stand to be corrected on all 3 of my answers

Hope this helps.
