Hi all,

When i try loading a set (originally from Live 2) in Live 3, i get a type 2 error. It's a rather big set, but in V2 i didn't have any problems loading it...

Any ideas on this?

My system: Ti-book G4 667 - 512 Mb

thanks

Hello Eav,

Do you use OS 9? If so, i recommend too increase manually Live“s memory allocation. You can do this if you search for the "Live" application
(not the "alias") and use "command+i".

Hi Christian

I'm using OS 9.2 indeed. I already increased the amount of memory to something like 240 Mb, but still...

But tonight i'll try some other stuff out.

I'll keep you posted.

Kind regards

Hi Eav,

I had the same with a set made with 2.0.3 (which needed about 195 Mb of ram allocated to live). Increasing the memory allocated to Live 3 up to 350 Mb solved it for me.

Just allocate all the free memory you have when booting up your system (largest free block under "about this computer" in the Finder) minus 10 or 20Mb to Live, see if it opens then. (If not, get more ram).

Next, make an educated guess (by looking at the about this computer again) on how much memory is actually used by the set and work your way down again. In my case it turned out that my set uses about 330-340 Mb in Live 3.

Tibook 1ghz/ Os 9.2.2/ 512Mb ram

Hope this helps...

Hi Dinga

I increased the amount of allocated memory to 400 mb and it works. Next step is decreasing it again.

Glad it's gonna work out now.

cheers
