Live 5, Mac OS: Can't combine two soundcards

For my home use, I wan't to aggregate two soundcards of my PowerBook (PPC, G4) to one: the build in audio interface and a second 2 channel interface connected via USB (which i want to use for monitoring). Both work fine if used solo, but if I want to aggregate both together using the Audio-Midi-Utility, the combined device shows only two output channels and not 4 as it should.
I tried also Soundflower, but even if Live seems to see Soundflower, I can't select the channels in the mixer...
