Live 6 + Trigger Finger (stops working mid set)

Hi folks,
I recently bought a Trigger Finger for Ableton Live 5 and whilst it initially works fine, after a few tracks into my live set it will just stop dead. The music in Ableton will continue to play but its as if the Trigger Finger dies (none of the controls are responsive). The only way to get it to work again is by closing the software and starting again (absolutely critical during a live set in a venue).
I initially thought that upgrading to Live 6 would solve the problem and I read from other users comments that Engima is the key to solving the issue but I get the same problems with both
Can anyone offer any advice or is this an outstanding issue ... ?
My set up is as follows ...
Apple Macbook [Intel] (black) - Core 2 Duo (2Gb Memory)
M Audio Firewire 410
M-Audio Trigger Finger (USB)
Ableton Live 6.0.1
Enigma (bundled with Trigger Finger)
Thanks in advance
