I am thinking of buying throat but i was wandering if any one knows a free plugin that works similar to throat. what i mean is a plug that allows you to alter a vocal to make it sound older , bigger,smaller, masculine or feminine

You can do that to some extent using a combination of time-stretching and pitch-shifting.

…of throat and the other vocal plugins and I found them to be VERY disappointing. Was drawn by the supposed ability to create a choir from one voice. But it failed dismally in this respect and all the others too…

And it's bloody expensive…
