Filter sweeps using PadKontrol

Just got a nice new Korg PadKontrol for Christmas and am enjoying getting to grips with it. I've read the manual and can still not find a way to assign a pad to control a filter sweep or any other knob movement. It just sends on or off information. I'm sure there's a way of doing this like the Triggerfinger does in its demo video. Any suggestions welcome.
