Audio Dropouts

I´ve a P4 1.7Ghz notebook with 768MB, still use the internal soundcard (not for long i hope ) and i´ve built several loops of audio traxx in Cubase SX that i exported (24bit) to try to compose a song in Live.

I´ve imported all this audio( 17 traxx) into Live (v2.0.3) and imediatly after pressing playback it just starts stuttering and has this enormous silence/audio dropouts.

Nothing wrong with the CPU metters nor with the RAM, i´ve increased latency to the maximum value, changed the driver again&again between ASIO & MME, muted & unmuted the traxx to the point where it is able to play 2 traxx without audio dropouts and nothing more.

If I reload those same samples back into SX ( wich is a much heavier apps than Live ) then i´m able to play them all togheter with minimum CPU&RAM load.

I really can´t tell what´s wrong, any help ?

Thx

Have run into similar problems I guess having to do with sx 2 and ableton 3 rewire engine. Definately unusable in any situation, I've given up trying to find the problem and will wait till the code gods get together and fix it. Gone back to fruity loops for looping audio in cubase sx.
