setting up the BCF2000 with ableton

Hi,
I'm trying to set up a BCF for use with ableton - i plan to use it to help me mix, i.e. each vertical line of controls will control a different "track" (for the first 4 or 5 tracks anyway)
I'm using the default settings, and have chosen "bcf2000" in ableton's midi settings, then ctrl+m midi mapping controls.
One thing that slightly confuses me is that there is an "on" and "off" setting for each button, which means i have to press everything twice.. is there a way around this?
Even better would be to have "on" and "off" doing two seperate things - play and stop for example - is that possible?
Thanks!
jeff.
ps. are there any pre-made midi map things around i could download so i don't have to work it out myself? thanks
