waves plugs have extreme settings on load in live

Hi,
my waves C4 and L1 plug-ins seem to have extreme settings (i.e input threshhold on absolute minimum on the L1) - meaning it 'maximises' to it's maximising heart's content when I loadl them into in live, or open a live set containing them.
I'll let waves know as well, but I get the feeling it's on the live side of things as I noticed the live plug-in interface starts with the x/y control in the bottom left, which seems to correspond to the zero settings in the plugins, (does live perhaps load up with a 'midi reset' type message or the like?) but in this case it's taking the input threshholds all the way down giving my speakers an absolute caning when i load them up - needless to say I'm no longer forgetting about it, but it means everytime i load a live set i've been working on, the settings are back down there, so i have to take it back to where i want it - (so it's not saving the setting either) - i could possibly work around this with automation, but that's quite a hassle.
cheers
