Live browser search returns duplicate entries randomly

I have a folder with Live projects only. I often search this folder with ".als" as the keyword to get the Live sets directly from the project folder.
Now, I can't duplicate this, or find any pattern, but randomly when I'm at gigs and I do this search and sort the results, I have duplicate entries for all the .als-files I found. Then I _close_ the search and do it again and I get correct results (only one of each .als-file).
Anyone else experiencing this?
P.S. it takes terribly long to search a folder with only 15 projects, each containing only 1 .als-file to get the list of als-files. Is it really that slow to search a folder for a specific filename? I remember the dir in DOS being way faster.
