I'm a mac user, so this problem could have a simple solution. I installed live on a PC in my house and when I go to save live sets and direct it to my user documents folder it tells me it can't move certain files, and creates a directory called "name_of_live_set sounds" which has the sounds from the set but no Live file is created anywhere?? My temp directory is the desktop.

if you're saving to your c drive, then I'd go to the Live preferences menu and make your audio folder in the Ableton>live 2.x (or 3.0)>content folder. Live should save the set and the audio files to the folder that you choose.

Go and search in this forum for "errors during saving sets" there are a few of us experiencing the same problem, it is being worked on and there may be a workaround for you. Also if you haven't emptied your recycle bin check in there for the files that you are saying won't save...we've benn finding them there. At least you'll be able to turn anything you've recorded into a loop and rebuild your song. Hope that helps you.....Mike

are you saving self contained or not, if you are not and trying to move the data that is your problem save as self contained and then save where ever you want and move the data where ever you want afterwards too.
