Checked out your tunes. I dig your sound.
Straight Up and South West were my favorites. I like the laid back glitched out beats.
Nice variety in your sounds. The tracks evolve well and keep things interesting.
Sent you a friend req too. Keep em' coming.

for sure laid back... kinda BOC enfluenced. Love yer sound
critisism: you could get your beats a little harder hitting with an eq, bbc sonic maximiser, or make a send track with a LP filter and a saturater(like phat conductor only aply to low end instead of highend...).
Keep at it. The beat is the only thing that cant beat us down.

Thanks for checking it out napalmskatterjazz. I will be trying the ideas you suggested for getting a bigger sound from the drums. Thanks man.

Napalmskatterjazz, I did what you suggested and sent the drums through some eq and saturater. I will need more time to get better at understanding the process, but the snare has a better sound to it and the kick has been lifted a small amount. I have placed a new mixed version of "captain Flip", so check it out and let me know.

I have worked on the drum tracks for the first two tunes. Am I getting there?

The drums sound great on South West. Just keep trying different things until you find what works for you. There is lots of great info in the Tips and Tricks section of the forum. Keep at it.

Thanks. Both tracks were treated differently. South west drums went through a Reaktor effect called Flat balster. You can select different freqs to compress and EQ.
I think this will be used on my other drum tracks too.

Listening to Summer stars right now. Super beautiful.
Reminds me a bit of Telefon Tel Aviv (sp?)
Can your music be purchased as high-quality downloads anywhere?

I like your style. Definitely puts me in a summer mood, even though it's freezing outside. It reminds me of DCFC meets synth
