Fixed: Delayed intermittent audio problem

Live 6.03 on XP HOME SP2
Core Duo, 1GB RAM on a Compaq V5000 laptop.
Echo Indigo DJ & M-Audio Transit both w/latest drivers but I only use one or the other at a time.
Also have ASIO4ALL installed, but haven't figured it out yet.
After using Live for an extended period of time with the Transit, but not with the Echo, my audio goes nutz and suddenly gets very noisy and distorted.
Deselecting the audio device in the options and re-enabling fixes it.
Anyone else?
Update: Not Fixed! Turned off option for OS to power down usb root hubs.
