Can not stop clips in Live 3

Hi,

I thought I had become an experienced Live user by now but then this strange thing came up - and it's driving me crazy! Certain clips never stop playing when I click them with the mouse pointer or use the assigned keyboard button. It doesn't help to move the clip to another slot on another channel, so it must be something on the sample/clip level. I have studied the clip settings without finding any difference from clips with "normal" bahaviour.

Any ideas?

What if you set the clip to 'toggle' in the clip edit window ? That should do the trick.
Clicking a clip that's in 'trigger' mode will just retrigger it , not stopping it.
If you want to leave the clip in trigger mode and want to stop it you need eg. to click a slotbutton under it

Big Thanks, man! ;-D
Can't understand how it went into trigger mode! My bad, I guess.

Btw, in "preferences" you also can set the default mode for each clip to 'toggle/repeat/gate/'

Yeah, I use to keep it in toggle all the time since I do not use prerecorded loops but record my live instrument playing as audio input while controlling Ableton Live from midi foot pedals. Got no midi keyboard - only mic, tenor sax and stratocaster.
