Vsti Plugin Panel Disapears

This happens to me time and time again. I must accidentally press something that makes the plugin panel disapear and it frustrates me greatly.
I click on the plugin edit wrench and the GUI for the VST does not appear! The ableton window loses focus but there is no GUI to be found.
I tried holding ctrl shift ctrl P all and nothing.
When I open ableton anew it works just fine if I drag and drop a vst in then the GUI appears. Then I open the song where I cannot see them and then I cannot see the GUIs again even if I open a new song afterwards.
some pleaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaase help its driving me insane!

Have you tried tinkering with the auto-show/hide settings in prefs?

Is the plugin GUI on some portion of an extended desktop that you cant see?

If by that you mean minimized or on another monitor then no.
And the vsts themselves work just fine... only no GUI.

Please tell us what plugin you use, it will be easyful to find people with the same bug

None of them work. not atmosphere, not impulse, not ezdrummer.
I don't believe it is a problem with the VSTs.
Any ideas on what I could do.
*Waits for someone to say reinstall Ableton*

This behavior just appear ?
or its since you have live ?
what is your machine specs, ect.
Maybe if its with a couple of vsts you should contact ableton directly by their support service instead of the general forum.
here everything is going fine except with absynth and fm8 sometimes the gui is going somewhere else.

This has happened before actually and I cant find out what excatly I do that causes it to happen... as you could imagine it is frustrating.
I was hoping I could get help here on the forums there seemed to be some knowledgable people and I did not think this was an issue that nobody came across before...

Something similar is happening to me as well.
But I just saw a tiny blue mark in the top left of the screen which is the bottom left hand corner of the floating plug in window.
I haven't got an extended desktop and can't drag the window!
Aargh. How frustrating. Any ideas people?

This exact thing is happening to me also all the time, not with VSTi's though. Only fx.
Any light on this matter yet?

it happens to me once a day that i have to switch to full screen mode in order to find my plugins.. live puts them somewhere where u cant see them anymore without switching to full screen... i hate that..

I posted a similar concern on the Bugs page - under 'Graphical Glitches' - with me it's not just VST GUI's going missing but menus optins etc. are disintegrating. I spoke to Ableton on the 'phone and they had not heard of this problem before. It's useab;e but irritating. I hope Ableton will take these problems seriously and look into a eotkaround - I think it's a graphic driver issue, as I do not have this problem on my desktop.
