I have finally finished my first "album", which is more of a compilation of about 2 years of my electronica. If you want to download the whole thing you can just click here: S2B_-_A_Broken_String_Or_A_Loose_Screw.zip

If you want to listen to individual pieces then go to my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/s2belectronica . At the bottom of the "About S2B" section you will find all the tracks, plus another link to the whole album file. I have also added a new piece to my myspace player...

As always, any feedback is welcome. In fact I would love some feedback.

I like the finger removal song quite a bit, heard that at mix2r where I am also registered.

If your album is free, you should consider uploading it to the Internet Archive , an open source repository of many a great audio file. I personally wouldn't download a zip file from anyone because I'm a security conscious paranoid freakazoid who runs windows and therefore can't take that kind of a risk !

Internet Archive - http://www.archive.org uses creative commons licensing etc.

you can upload .mp3, .ogg, flac, etc there and it will create lower bitrate files automatically too in mp3vbr or ogg. you can also submit .jpegs/gifs etc related to the song files (only remember to do it at the time otherwise you can't go back in later to amend)

Check out my electronica project Umbriel Rising's 'Galactica Nova' EP there

Does this site allow whole album downloads in one file? Because on myspace in my "About S2B" section at the bottom I have each track available for download as as individual mp3s... what would the advantage of archive.org?

files are uploaded seperately but can be downloaded as one .zip in mp3 vbr - or seperately in various audio formats. advantages - you can upload lossless audio such as FLAC files, it will convert files to ogg vorbis for you and make those available as an option (ogg is a better codec than mp3).

Plus it's more exposure for you, I have 32 downloads of my EP there since January 1st - this might not be a gazillion but then again, I'm not exactly a household name with a budget to promote myself.

Whether or not it is worth your while - I don't know ? All I'm saying is that I wouldn't download a zip file from an individual because running xp, I can't risk that but I would consider downloading one from the internet archive as they are well respected and adware/spyware free.

Myspace downsamples it's streaming, I don't know if it downsamples mp3 downloads but I do very little with myspace and like it that way.

my files are not actually hosted on myspace, there are just links from myspace to independent hosting, therefore the files are downloaded in their original format...
Are zip files really that risky? Are they riskier than another filetype? Well, thanks for informing me anyway. I'll certainly check it out in more detail, there can be no harm in having more internet coverage...

Listening to it right now. I can say "Enough Frostled Fat Beetles Is It Not [Innum remaster]" is a very serious mind fuck. Way to go.
