I've been getting "A serious error has occurred and Live will now close..." errors when I have several effects chained up in an Impulse rack (one effects group for each Impuse pad)

It generally happens when I'm adjusting the EQ 8 parameters, but not always. It seems pretty random. I haven't figure it out yet.

Even stranger is that it says, "Live will now close", but it doesn't. :D

I've always been entertained by error messages that tell you an application is about crash, but then gives you the option to cancel.

I can confirm I have had this too.
In my case it was when I was using racks and caused by me doing undo a few times, sort of stepping back through undo. Eventually undo seems to fail and I get the message but no crash after.
Very strange, gotta be some kinda bug in this.

Yes, I have this a few times now. I sent the Abes a full report only yesterday of the latest one. This time it was simply trying to move or delete a midi track containing unactivated midiclips.

My Live is bought and paid for. Which is why I like to send in reports to Ableton when I do find something wrong with it.

I have to say I find Ableton very customer friendly. I like the upgrade prices, their support and the product. Well worth supporting in my opinion.

If possible, could you please send me the set or rack preset that you are experiencing this problem with?

Thanks

EQ8 has also halted my computer when i load it into a track. and i was only using 2 audio tracks, no plugins, on a Duo Core PC 3Hz, 3GB RAM. the CPU during playback even without EQ8 was hovering above 20%. with EQ8 the playback marker was stuttery.
