Anyone notice T3 (www.mackie.com) slip in under the radar at NAMM?

Looks OK but I noticed it sort of "borrowed" Live's warp markers... Can't say for sure but looks quite similar.

(I am a die-hard Live fan btw)

Respect.

I wonder if the abes have some of this stuff cprghted.
would be a shame to see it in everything.
it would be like seeing an exotic dancer come out with the dress yr girlfriend just bought. Might be better than the original, but still kinda depressing.

why would it be a shame?

also, Racks were in Tracktion 2 before being in Ableton 6

warp markers?
Cubase
Tracktor DJ 3.2
Logic with Apple loops

No big deal!

It's only a DAW - just another tool to make music.

Racks have been here since live 4. It just depends in which context you look at it

The warping technology is something hat Ableton licensed from another company.
Can't remember the name. But i think it was a german company.

I didn't know all of that, interesting.
regardless you're all right, it doesn't matter in the slightest, it's all there to make music with,

Not to mention that Tracktion is about 1/3 the price of Live...

Tracktion and Live both have their unique elements, and will appeal to different people.

Live combined with Tracktion via Rewire! (and if you can get by with the Live Lite version, you can do it for cheap.)

The idea of warp markers has been around since ReCycle IMO. Abe's just applied it to something other than drums :)
