Korg Legacy VSTi's & Live 6 - anyone else having problems ?

hi

I am getting "Live has encountered a problem...." type crashes all the time.

The only VST plugins I have installed at the moment are:

- Korg Legacy (Analogue, Analogue 2007 update, Digital)
- Powercore F/W v2 (including Virus & Novation Bass-station)

Yesterday it crashed whilst trying to enable the custom VSTi folder (Cubase VSTplugins folder)...

I'm beginning to suspect the Korg plugins - anyone else got these working fine ?

thanks

Yes, I have the KLC-1 -> KLCAE 2007 and the KLCDE, and both of them run fine.

I experienced a similar problem as you when I enabled the shared VST folder. I copied all of my plugs to a temp folder. I then enabled the shared VST folder. Since there were no plugs to scan, it did not take long to enable. I shut Live down, copied the plugins back where they belonged, and restarted Live. Live started and all was well.

thanks - I'm pulling my hair out over this one !

That seems strange that Live doesn't like them in the Shared folder initially, but then doesn't mind them once enabled & copied back in !

Is this a Live folder scanning/enabling bug or a Korg bug ?

I actually noticed some strange behaviour when starting up Cubase SX 2, possibly relating to Korg Legacy so I suspect the latter.....
