the mighty mouse, both bluetooth and the wired version, get total shiite reviews on the mac store site.
i thought this was what i was gonna get until just now.

reccommendations? curious about problem-free wireless mice.

I love my might mouse, and have no complaints. I've had it for 4 months, and i take it everywhere with me. We have plenty of them at work; no complaints there either..

Oh yeah, it works perfectly in windows and osx, and so does the right mouse button. The little scroll nubbin on the top moves in all directions, which is pretty cool.

A Mac works with any USB mouse. Buy something that has two REAL buttons for gods sake.

for the desktop mac i have a macally USB mouse, reason: the drivers are superior to the original OSX driver, the mouse responsiveness is much more precise. and you can asign a few additionbal functions to the mouse
i like those macallies a lot.

and for the MBP i have a logitech v270 bluetooth mouse which works also flawless.

I don't recommend Macally, though they get good enough reviews. I tried one with my new MBP, and it was horrible. Felt really cheap, cord was fragile too. I'm back to using a Logitech mouse, no problems there.

The bluetooth one? Are you sure because mine does not work on XP and I haven't found any drivers. The usb one does though.

One thing that I do NOT like is the scroll button. It keeps scrolling down in Live no matter what I do. I had to disable it.

I am sorry, I think apple mice plain SUCK. Both on osx and on xp systems.

And saying that the Mighty Mouse has a right click option is not the same as a physical button. There IS a difference.

For what it's worth - very little, I know - I am addicted to the Logitech MX series of mice, my most recent one being an Mx518. Wonderful piece of equipment. Not as pretty as a Mighty Mouse, but a damned sight more functional.

I got the logitech MX 310. If i replace it. It'll be with another MX.

take my advice: Don't ever switch to a real mouse - you'll end up feeling sorry for all the lost time

I've used "real" mice before. I know they're huge time savers. Just havent gotten around to buying a new one

contrary to virtually all Mac hardware the Mighty Mouse feels light and cheap. The nub is disappointing as well IMHO.

I use this beauty... WAY more buttons that I would ever need, adjustable weight (awsome), lazer-based (reads on almost ANY surface), well built, braided cable, LONG cable, great drivers.

I love the trackpad on my MacBook, double fingered scrolling and touch clicking feels somehow 'nice'. Also, i like the way it forces you to integrate control between the mouse and the keyboard. I like the way all my controls are literally at my finger tips. I've really no need for a mouse.

My only complaint is the wear and tear this inflicts on beautiful macbook, but then I suppose it's a tool not a work of art.
