Live is totally unusable at the moment. serious clicks when rendering.
can you give us an exact date for this update since most users like me are not able to use Live for releasing songs.

About rendering...

I didn't experienced clicks and pops while rendering, but only distortion problems, even if all the meters are ok... Most of the time, I check the normalize option, and the result is ok, but sometimes, it fails. The result is an unexpected grungy version of my part... I'm just wondering if this problem has something to do with previous clicks and pops problems.

We need the update : recording 'master out' is not another way of rendering, it's just another tool. Please Ableton, we need a working rendering function.
Same Problem here - audio glitches on rendering

For me, LIVE is not usable to release any projects at the moment. I get glitches in the rendered file. No clipping problem, level does not go abouve -3dB. Audio samples used are clean.
Ableton has fixed it - I read. Fix will be included in the next update - when will this be? I mean this is no minor bug which can be fixed sometime. It's major and deserves high priority. It's nice to know that monolake is on world tour, but I'm more interested in clean audio after rendering (sorry for being sarcastic)
I hope the update will be soon, because LIVE is a highly usable program with unique features.

just a thought

I share your 'problem'. but I think Ableton is trying to do their best this time and give us a good update for a few important bugs/issues instead of adding update after update.

I have never had any problems with these clicks and pops people are talking about on the rendering, except when I don't have my master fader level pulled down far enough. With well-recorded audio on 8-12 tracks (coming close to, but not clipping), i find the master needs to be down in the negative 8-13 dB range to avoid clipping off the master. I sometimes use normalize, sometimes not, sometimes use and L2 on the master, sometimes not--still no problems at all. I'm usually mixing down to 16/44.1--sometimes from 16/44.1, 16/48, or 24/48--all with great sucess. Not trying to toot my own horn, I'm just surprised that so many people seems to have this problem yet I don't--maybe there are some settings that must effect it. I always have hi quality on, never RAM clips, always have create analysis files on, and I rarely render warped stuff--maybe these settings help me? I guess I've done the majority of my renders from 2.0.3 in the last year, but 3.0 seems to work okay as well. I know Live has admitted there's a problem, but it clearly doesn't happen to everyone--just trying to help out in the meantime.

confirmed bug

yes, it's a confirmed bug (Ableton confiremed it). maybe only Windows related. normally I don't have click problems. this is not a Mac or Windows issue or a soundcard issue. it's simply a bug.
Mac rendering to disk problem

About 90% fo the time, rednering to disk creates a blank aif file.
If I rewire to Cubase SX 2 and then export the mix through Cubase, everything works fine.

interesting--are windows users creating .wavs of .aiffs??? I'm doing .wavs and have yet to have any mixddown problems. Not trying to pour salt in the wounds, just trying to help get to the bottom of why some people are having problems while others aren't.
