Selecting the active Impulse slot with MIDI, possible?

Hi,
I'm setting up my Korg microKONTROL for some serious tweaking, now that Live 6 finally has direct support for it (if not in Native Mode, still).
First problem: Impulse pads (or sample slots, if you will), or rather selecting them. The pads 1...8 on the microKONTROL select the parameters of the corresponding slot for editing, so you can then use the rotary encoders to tweak the Impulse slot parameters, like pan and volume.
The trouble is, hitting the mK pad does not actually select the slot in Impulse, just the parameters. Let's say I have slot #1 selected in Impulse. If I hit mK pad 1, the encoders affect slot #1 as they should. But now if I hit mK pad 2, the encoders start affecting Impulse slot #2, but I can't see what I'm doing on the screen, because the active Impulse slot is still #1.
Is there even a way to select the active Impulse slot using MIDI? When you click the MIDI button in the Live toolbar to look at the mappings, the Impulse slots are not shown in blue. That kind of indicates to me that you can't do what I'm thinking. Of course you can always select the Impulse slot using the mouse, but that is exactly what I want to avoid, if I could tweak almost everything else from the microKONTROL.
