Audio Units plugins - why minimal graphics in Live?

Hello.
Audio Units plug-ins in Live have only minimal, bare bones graphics in Live, while the same plug-ins have full displays in Logic and other programs. Does anyone know why this is, or if there is a way around it?
For instance, I downloaded the Katsura Shareware Chromatic Tuner from
http://www.katsurashareware.com/chromat ... matic.html
and in Live, you can't see the tuner display, only a few sliders. In Logic, you see full graphics for the plug in.
Any thoughts?

Does clicking the "spanner" icon help?

You mean the button that enlarges or opens up the plug-in display? No, this just opens up the bare-bones slider graphics. You can download the plug-in and try it...seems like a useful utility (a guitar tuner).

besides the triangle button that opens Live's plug ins GUI there's a tool button. Click it and it should open the plug in with it's original GUI in a floating window.

I also have this problem....so does that mean it works for some people or have they just not tried the plug-ins?
additionally, some AU plugs I have do show their graphics.

I've had this problem with a few plugins before, you open what should be the graphic plugin window and instead you get a very mac looking box with sliders which usually run left to right. it's strange and I've never heard of a reason or way around it.
anyone?

Ableton Live doesn't yet support Cocoa custom UI for Audio Units...

If you happen to already have it, you could use Amplitube 2 and disable everything but the tuner. An alternative would be to pick up IK's Stealth Plug. For $100 you'd be getting not only the tuner but all the other goodies in Amplitube 2 LE. It has some nice guitar FX and includes a USB interface to boot. The plugin alone is easily worth the hundred bucks IMO.

i think that some AUs don't have graphics for their UI... like the apple ones.
then you just get the generic GUI if you try to view it.
