Ableton's Mac n Pc Compatibility of projects?

Will any project saved on a PC Ableton Live work perfectly on Mac Ableton Live????

provided the audio files and neccesary plugins are there, then yes.

If this is true, why do I see so many people post racks for download "for PC" and "for MAC"?
Even on the tips and tricks forum you see that. There must be something about the two platforms that are not compatible then.

The problem is with those users and not Live. There are no compatibility issues.
