i have one simple question.

i would like to control two sends via one midi controller

e.g.
send a increases and send b decreases when i turn one button on my midi controller
how can i controll this in parallel?

i have live 6 and i'm doing a lot of midi stuff with regelwerk, behringer, drehbank etc.
thanks a lot
regards

map send A and send B to the desired knob on your controller

When you map send B however switch around the Min and Max Values so its Maximum first then minimum.

eg send A 0 - 100%
send B - 100% - 0%

that should do it

that doesn't work... because i can map just one controller to A and i cannot map the same to B
live is complaining that the controller is already used.....

really? live 6 supports multiple parameter assignments to one knob its the reason I upgraded. - works fine on my machine.

are you using it in Mackie Control Mode ? I dont normally do that

how? 8O

i couldn't find the word "macros" in the manual? :D

are you making fun of me?

stallos you're right. i tried it and it's working...

new problem:

i would like to have 4 send channels A-B-C-D with effects....

increasing control send A should decrease B-C-D
inreasing control send B should decrease A-C-D
and so on?
is this possible?
how :?

i had a look in the manual but the stuff with the macros doesn't help...
the macros work only for knobs inside a rack and not the sends, which are outside....

You dont need macros for this dude but you said there was nothing in manual which is why I gave you the page.

you wont be able to do what you are asking with one knob I dont think

I dont see how you could assign 1 knob that would both increase send B and decrease it at the same time. Maybe with Bomes Midi Translator you could do it but I dont know much about that

A 2knob solution would work tho - values are min then max

eg
Midi cc 10 controls
Send A - 0 -100&
Send B - 100 - 0
Send C - 100 - 0
Send D - 100 - 0

Midi cc 11
Send B - 0 -100%
Send C - 100 - 0
Send D - 100- 0
Send A - 100- 0

I'm not in front of live so havent tried this out yet,

cheers

OK - read your original post too quick. Didn't think of the sends... Should be doable anyway, though. Are you on a full version?
