live 3.0 freezing on startup when using digi 001 soundcard

the new version of pro tools 6.1.2 allows me to use the digi 001 sound card with itunes and ableton among other programs. rather frequently when i load up live 3.0 by itself it freezes on me. can anybody help me solve this problem?
