Help!! Automation in Arrangeview behaves wrong

Hi,
this is bothering (not only) me for a long time:
I am doing DJ-Mixes very often with Live. For that I put the songs in the arrangeview on two tracks. First song track 1, second song track 2, third song track 1 and so on.
I am editing the automation always after I have the tracklisting ready.
So I press record and move the fader. After I stop recording, the Fader goes back to the position where it was before I pressed record. So I have to edit this with the mouse every time.
In most other DAW (Logic) it would stay at the position where I end the recording.
Is there a way to change this behaviour?
