Where is Grand Piano for Sampler ?

Hello
I hope I wont get flamed for posting a "rtfm" question but... I've bought boxed live 6 and sampler, and I cannot find the grand piano preset for Sampler (assuming there is one). I cannot believe a 1gig+ set of sample would be used in Simpler only (i've found a simpler rack preset).

Does someone know where to find the Sampler Grand Piano ?

Thanks a lot

Edit-- Nevermind. Read the question wrong.

Load the simpler preset, than right-click on the simpler and choose simpler
to sampler, or something like that.

EIC is made for simpler, but you can convert every simpler into a sampler.

Good luck!

ok sorry. I got it now.

simpler IS able to use both note AND velocity data when triggering samples. basically i think there is a single engine in Live, but the simpler interface only allows using a single sample with a single velocity range.

converting simpler->sampler indeed revealed the richness of the samples used. that should be mentioned in the manual, imho, since the "multisample mode" text is quite confusing.

No, the Simpler playback should be identical,

the only difference is that you cannot see what's going on or edit it, unless you have Sampler.

If I understand what you're saying.

hi longjohns

i am sorry : i did not correctly expressed what i meant.

the simpler and sampler sound the same, but when converting to sampler, i was able to realize that the grand piano preset took advantage, indeed, of multisampling both on the note axis and on the velocity axis, as it did in simpler, but in a "hidden" way.

Does using Sampler, as opposed to Simpler, for the Grand Piano preset, ease any of the strain on the CPU?

If anything, I would suspect the opposite: that switching to Sampler might come with somewhat more CPU usage. The reason being that there are many more parameters on Sampler, which could be tweaked real-time.

I bet the difference if any would be minimal but of course I've not tested it
