error opening live file?

Hi
Last night my laptop crashed mid way through making a track and when i tried to open the file again to carry on with it i got the following error message:
( syntax error : a class ID was expected, but "Mi' was found instead.)
it will open other tracks just not this one :/
I have tried system restore & re-naming the file but the same error message still pops up.. nightmare, i've been working on it for a week!
like i say, the file 'content is there ('350 mb')...... it's just not getting past loading because of this error
